The perpetual urban event of demolition has become the subject of my work. Initially my focus was
on displaced objects – urban debris. As I removed these objects from their context I gave them the ability to be beautiful. As I
progressed to buildings I was able to similarly bring monumentality to objects that were not monumental – they were simply well
used, well loved and beyond their date of expiry.
