Momir Knezevic was born in Petrovici, Montenegro, in 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pristina in 1985. He has specialization in Prague, Zagreb and Madrid.

Momir Knezevic has had 27 individual exhibitions and has taken part in over 200 group exhibitions at home and abroad.

He has received several awards and prizes.

Momir Knezevic is a member of the ULUS (The Association of Serbian Artists).

He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pristina (Zvecan).

Momir Knezevic from Kragujevac articulates through his work his need to search for romantic ideals in these rigid and traumatic times. His current canvases are an experiment in reductive painting with the expression contained within a register of selected cold tones, grays and blues.
